BIG NEWS! wha??

Hello...well this has been a long time coming, but we all knew it was inevitable. Ya know how I told you people that Joseph got into Dental School at Nova Southeastern back in January? Well, yea. We're moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL!!! Let the excitement ensue...

Or sadness. Not sure. There is too much emotion going on in my head and heart right now. On the one hand, I am so full of happiness and love from all of these weddings that just happened or that are coming up, and the excitement of moving to a place I have never been before. On the other hand, I am scared stupid and so sad about leaving all of the friends and family I have grown up with. It's a little crazy in the Randall apartment right now. Maybe a little more crying than normal, but also a lot of laughter.

If that wasn't enough news, Joseph applied for the 4 year Army scholarship for dental school..and wait for it...he GOT IT! So what does this mean? Well, dental school will go like normal. After school is over, Joseph will go to officer's training and be promoted to Captain (woot woot), then he will get placed on a base somewhere and provide dental care to Army personnel (and possibly their families) at the base.

Best part? I get to go with him wherever he gets stationed!!! This is an even bigger bittersweet moment, because we will be gone for 8 years instead of 4. This is crazy, I tell you, CRAZY! (can you tell that I'm a little overwhelmed)? Anywho, seriously I am already packing stuff (a little stir crazy), so of course our apartment is going to look ridiculous for the next 2 months. So I guess that's all for now, so I will leave you a few pics to enjoy...

ps - if any of you watched the show Arrested Development, you will appreciate the last 2 pictures!

Question of the Day:

-Any advice as a military wife?

-What is the best deal for moving? Uhaul truck, PODS, etc?

  1. I can only imagine all the conflicted emotions you're experiencing, Abby! At least you get to travel with your hubby, that will prove to be a huge blessing through all the changes! I'm sure it will draw you even closer together :) Good luck with the packing!

  2. I stumbled across you blog on Bloglovin' - we are in very similar spots. My husband is also starting dental school this fall, his name is also Joseph (goes by Joe), and we also got married in June 2011. Congratulations on the Army scholarship and decision on where he will be attending! Love the AD pics - hope your hubby enjoys Army ;)
