BIG NEWS! wha??

Hello...well this has been a long time coming, but we all knew it was inevitable. Ya know how I told you people that Joseph got into Dental School at Nova Southeastern back in January? Well, yea. We're moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL!!! Let the excitement ensue...

Or sadness. Not sure. There is too much emotion going on in my head and heart right now. On the one hand, I am so full of happiness and love from all of these weddings that just happened or that are coming up, and the excitement of moving to a place I have never been before. On the other hand, I am scared stupid and so sad about leaving all of the friends and family I have grown up with. It's a little crazy in the Randall apartment right now. Maybe a little more crying than normal, but also a lot of laughter.

If that wasn't enough news, Joseph applied for the 4 year Army scholarship for dental school..and wait for it...he GOT IT! So what does this mean? Well, dental school will go like normal. After school is over, Joseph will go to officer's training and be promoted to Captain (woot woot), then he will get placed on a base somewhere and provide dental care to Army personnel (and possibly their families) at the base.

Best part? I get to go with him wherever he gets stationed!!! This is an even bigger bittersweet moment, because we will be gone for 8 years instead of 4. This is crazy, I tell you, CRAZY! (can you tell that I'm a little overwhelmed)? Anywho, seriously I am already packing stuff (a little stir crazy), so of course our apartment is going to look ridiculous for the next 2 months. So I guess that's all for now, so I will leave you a few pics to enjoy...

ps - if any of you watched the show Arrested Development, you will appreciate the last 2 pictures!

Question of the Day:

-Any advice as a military wife?

-What is the best deal for moving? Uhaul truck, PODS, etc?

The first of three weddings...

So Joseph's older sister got married this past weekend. Wow. It was beautiful. The whole family (cousins and all) owns a farm near Fayetteville, Tennessee and they recently renovated the house on the property and built a new barn. The wedding took place in the loft of the barn, and the reception was outside between the barn and the house.

We had a great weekend of family fun and enjoying time together. We started off Thursday night going to our favorite Mexican place in Huntsville, called Rosie's. yummy. Friday morning was the bridesmaids brunch with all the women in the family, then Friday night we had the rehearsal dinner at The Summit at Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville. We had a great view of the sunset at the top of the bank where our dinner was.

Saturday started with getting showered, then heading up to the farm (about an hour drive) and getting ready there. We ended up doing the rehearsal before pictures, which ended up working well because we didn't have to drive up the night before. We did all of our pictures before the wedding, which I love! It makes after the wedding more fun because you can totally relax after the wedding is over.

Dresses! Love all of them!

The wedding was beautiful. It was very small and intimate, and the weather was perfect in the barn loft. There weren't decorations except for a few bouquets of flowers nailed to posts on either side of the middle aisle. Allison (Joseph's sister) wore a dress made of crocheted lace in ivory, and she looked beautiful!

We definitely had some awkward hand-holding going on in this one!

Cute on outside on the swing.

The reception was so much fun! We got to see so many friends and family members there. The band that Allison and Forrest hired was AMAZiNG! They played almost every type of music from Michael Jackson to the cha cha slide.

Allison and Forrest, we are so happy for both of you. We are excited that God brought you together, and we can't wait to spend more time with you as the years go on. Have so much fun on your honeymoon! We're jealous!

Sunday, Rainy Sunday {weekly fashion post} / catch-up post!

When I snoozed my alarm this morning for the 4th time, I heard the pitter patter of rain hitting the roof. Not a great thing to hear on a Sunday morning, because a lot of times it keeps me from getting up and going to church. This morning, however, I survived the drizzle and made it! Since I've been slacking on my "weekly fashion posts" the past few weeks, I thought I would hit you with 2 of the outfits I wore this weekend.

The first of these outfits was for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party! We traveled to Nashville on Friday afternoon and spent the night there. SO much fun! I had actually never been to Nashville, and I really want to go back for a longer period of time, but I liked what I saw.

Joseph had actually already left for a friend's bachelor party at the beach in Destin, FL, so he may have beat me on fun this weekend.

My packing buddy. I think Dex always knows when I'm about to leave.

Sorry for the somewhat blurriness of this picture. I just got an IPHONE!!!!! (insert smiley), and I am still a novice.

This morning, I wanted to wear something that wouldn't matter if it got a little rain on it, and since I woke up a little late, something that didn't require a lot of time. So here's what I came up with for church...

Please excuse my face and hair. Hehe, waking up late doesn't suit me very well. I really enjoyed the fact that I rolled my pants up a little to be ankle length (which is popular right now, right?, ha) because my pants didn't get we from stepping in puddles.

Enjoy your Sunday afternoon, however rainy or sunny it might be!

p.s. - I need serious help accessorizing my outfits, can you tell? Seriously though. I don't think I've bought jewelry in the past 2 years.

Favorite Foods Lately...

I have been in a rut when it comes to packing my lunch lately, but I love this rut!

Joseph and I have been trying to save money before he starts dental school, and part of that is going out to eat less. Through trial and error, I have figured out that Wal-Mart is the place to go for good, cheap produce! They have everything I need in one place, and it is definitely cheaper than Publix (but it's SO pretty:))) - - I obviously have a problem with Publix. Hehe. Every time I go there, I buy stuff that wasn't on my list just because all the stuff looks pretty and delicious. At Wal-Mart, I can get down to business.

So my favorite yummy lunch to make has been salad. And here's what I put in it...

Spring Mix
1/4 Cucumber
1 Avocado
1 Roma Tomato
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (what I had in my fridge at the time)
Rotisserie Chicken (cut up -- I only use the white meat for salads)
Chipotle Ranch Yogurt dressing from Wal-Mart (only 25 calories per serving!)

I think I have had this for lunch all week this past week. It really is so much cheaper than eating out, especially eating out healthily (a salad this good at Newk's costs about $10 or $12). A lot of times when I pack my lunch, I don't end up eating it, and go out anyway, but not with this salad.

Question of the Weekend:

- What is your favorite thing to pack in your lunch? Why?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

{weekly fashion post} - spring-ish?

Happy easter yesterday, guys and gals! I hope everyone had a restful fun time with family and remembering Jesus' sacrifice for us. Since I took a little break from blogging last week, I decided to continue it through yesterday and post my fashion post today.

This outfit is from Friday night. Joseph and I went to his older sister's couples shower! It was fun, and we got to see a lot of Joseph's family that we haven't seen in awhile. We also got to meet Allison's (Joseph's sister) fiance's family! good times...

My most recent picture of dex and I ... LOVE! And the sunglasses are from H&M! 5 dolla, baby!

And yes, my hair is naturally curly. In the other fashion posts I have straight hair, which is usually only when I have a lot of time on my hands or when I get my hair cut, like last week's post.

Hehe. Also just a word of advice when you're buying jeggings (or at least Jessica Simpson jeggings) - - buy them a size too small (or really tight) because mine stretched out and I am going to have to get a smaller size soon!
